Re:       COMMUNITY LIFE   Deadlines   2012

Thanks to everyone who helped to publish our church newspaper in 2011!  Your contributions are greatly appreciated. Last summer we celebrated the 20^th anniversary of the launch of the paper in 1991. Over the years it has helped bring our church into the community and the community into the church.

We published four issues, as usual, in 2011 and delivered 5,200 copies each time to homes in our neighbourhood (reserving 300 at the church).  The annual publishing and delivery costs of $4,766 were somewhat offset by advertising revenue of $2820. We always welcome new advertisers. Please contact Advertising Manager Kate Cook for all paid ads at kecook@gmail.com.

Articles, columns, ads for church events and photographs should be emailed to Kathleen Magladry at kmagladry@sympatico.ca. Written submissions should be sent as an attachment in Microsoft Word.  Do not double space, indent or use tabs, please! Submissions may come from the church or the community. 

Here are the dates for submitting material to our newspaper in 2012.  Other than a reminder in the Sunday bulletin the week before, this is your only reminder.  Please be on time!  Note the Fall deadline is Labour Day weekend and there can be no extensions as we try to get the paper published as early in the fall season as possible. Please submit in June if you will be away in the summer – thanks.
