Did you know? ... When you compost at home with your fruit
and vegetable scraps, grass clippings, leaves, and other yard debris, you can
cut your household garbage by a third or even in half to reduce greenhouse gas.
Taking Action: A significant amount of household waste is made
up of organic materials. Separate your fruit and vegetable waste from your city
recycling and trash, and put it in your home composter. A composter lets you
convert food waste into rich organic material that you can then use in your
garden.
Composters can be purchased at an Environment Day Depot for $15.00
