The Fun is in the
Knitting (or Crocheting or Needlework)
Knitters and novices are invited to join this new group!
Bring knitting, crocheting, sewing, needlework, or whatever you are working on.
We will meet off site, at Eleanor's, on the
following dates:
May 24th at 7.30 pm
Thursday May 31st at 1.30 pm
Tuesday June 12th at 7.30 pm
Bring your knitting and if you want cookies with tea, please bring only
a couple
of cookies with you to share.

Here's a demonstration of how to determine whether a yarn is wool or synthetic by lighting
a candle and burning the yarn over the flame. If it burns poorly
and smells like burning hair it's likely wool, but if it melts
quickly smells like plastic and forms a shiny rounded end, it's
probably synthetic.
We are
beginning a prayer shawl ministry at Fairlawn. These mantles of love and
care are knit with prayers and are given out at no cost to someone
suffering emotionally or physically or to celebrate special occasions –
any time there is a need.
Donations,
for which tax receipts will be issued, may be made to purchase wool. If
you know someone who would appreciate receiving a shawl or wish to
become one of the knitters, please
