Welcome to Sunday school at Fairlawn
Avenue United Church
Sharing our faith with our children is an important part of our
mission at Fairlawn Avenue. We offer a fully-staffed Sunday School with
a variety of programs for all ages,
and we have more than 110 students enrolled.
Our Sunday School operates every Sunday during the academic year in
separate
classes:
- toddler
- JK/SK-grade 1
- grade 2-3
- grade 4-6
- grade 7+
Our children are involved in our worship services in the
weekly “Children’s Time”, and we have a number of intergenerational services each
year.
In addition to Sunday school we organize a number of
extracurricular events throughout the year. Our events include:
- Pancake breakfast (a Sunday after Labour Day)
- Hanging of the Greens (early December)
- Sunday school picnic (mid-June)
Fun for Youth at Fairlawn

They change every year, but here's a sample of what we've done in the past:
- 30-Hour Famine to raise money for World Vision
- Rock the House (bring your musical instruments or
voice to jam at Fairlawn)
- Skating party
- Rock climbing
- Tubing
- Bowling
- Paddling the Don
- Youth group every week
Teaching Sunday School
- If you’re too old for the youth group, join our team of more than
50
volunteers that teach our Sunday school. You will have the opportunity to
share your faith and grow at the same time.
